Loyola Robotics competed in the Hereford Stampede on Dec. 6 where juniors Steven Youngblood, Aidan Bissel-Siders, and Brian Radin ended the event in 7th place out of 43 teams. Their performance earned them a spot in the elimination round in which they made it through to the semifinals.
The freshman team made up of Bobby Wescott and Garret Bugg finished in the top 50% on only their second time competing.
The club also fielded their first-ever middle school team made up of Benick Mbaya, Blessy Mbaya, Andrew Polun, Graham Goldsborough and Emerson Goldsborugh. They finished 28 out of 43 teams. This was their first time competing and they were forced to compete against primarily high school teams.
