The following students had award-winning performances at the BCFL (Baltimore Catholic Forensics League) Congressional Debate tournament at Catholic High School on Monday, February 2:
Jack Morton– Bronze Medalist (Top Presiding Officer)
Anthony Price– Silver Medalist
At the conclusion of the tournament, the following students were announced as state qualifiers for the championship in March:
Ryan Taggarse (#1 seed)
Jonathan Bollinger
Aidan Bissell-Siders
Jack Morton
John Huebler
Anthony Price
This is the largest group of congressional debate qualifiers Loyola has had in the past 10 years. The final BCFL tournament of the season is this Saturday, February 7, at Western School of Technology, where qualifiers in all other speech and debate events will be announced.
