The Loyola Blakefield Alumni Association is pleased to recognize William J. “Bill” McCarthy, Jr. ‘79 as the 2013 recipient of the Rev. Joseph M. Kelley, S.J. Medal.

The Reverend Joseph M. Kelley, S.J. Medal, regarded as the highest form of recognition given to a Loyola graduate, honors an alumnus who is outstanding by reason of distinction gained in business or civic affairs. When Mr. McCarthy accepted his position as Executive Director of Catholic Charities, he stated: “I View my leadership of Catholic Charities as a calling because my personal goal is to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day.”
